In the article "Open Letter to 9th Graders" by Patrick Sullivan the author's main reason for writing the article is to help high school students be prepared. Another main reason is to be ready to go into college even if you're only a 9th grader. Also, the author's main point is that our high school experience should prepare you for college by creating your good reading and writing skills. We agree with using self discipline and grit to help yourself succeed. We disagreed with having to like writing or reading to be good at it. This article has lots of good advice to help push high school students in the right way to have a good time at college.
