20 Time Update

This week I was able to post another project. I only need two more to reach my goal. I am also working on my presentation. I think that I am almost done. I just have to make some adjustments. I am glad that we still have two more Wednesdays because I really need the work time. Overall, this week I continued to improve my project.

I have almost finished my research this week and I have also started to work on my final presentation. Right now, I am starting to work on my presentation. Next, I am planning on building my own catapult for my project.

20 Time Update

I've finally begun creating a presentation to present to the class. I also figured out how to transfer videos between my computer, Google Docs, and flash drives since previously, they hadn't been communicating correctly. I've only recorded a couple songs, but I've been working on learning them, as I have the last couple weeks. With each new song I've learned, I've created a Google Doc with the lyrics of the song to have on hand if I need it. I've been using my Surface to record the music. The quality isn't the best, but the charger to my video camera has mysteriously gone missing, so I found a solution to the problem.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who ever has to be around because there's like a 87% chance I will be humming or singing a song I've been working on learning.

I've been using this project as an opportunity to branch out what music I'm working on. If you know me, you know that I love classic rock, but I usually wouldn't record me singing classic rock songs, or any other songs if they weren't slower, mellower songs just because I typically am not great at singing them. These songs require more work, but I enjoy practicing them none the less. One of my most recent projects is learning a piano version of "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas and "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple since the latter is one that I usually wouldn't attempt.

20 Time Check-in

This week has gone well. I have decided on my recipe that will go out today. I have also been working on my 20 Time presentation concept and am super excited for what's to come. Get ready guys!

Presentation

Today I'm working on completing my presentation about my project and working on what I need to do to finish my project/video.

20 Time Update

Today I finally started my presentation. I was over thinking how I was going to show a step by step of a heart surgery. Although now that I started the presentation I see how I am going to set this up. I am not going to over think this or make it too complicated. I am feeling a little better about my project.

This week, I had another super successful week with my poll and my recipe. (I made mini baklava cups). I just finished my next post (check it out at: foodiefreshman.blogspot.com ). I'm now planning on starting my presentation and thinking about what exactly to put into it.

20 Time Reflection

This week I continued to work on my blog. I am also starting to prepare for my presentation. Starting this early will help me continue to progress timely.

20 Time Update

I've been doing basically the same process I have been for the last couple weeks: learn a song, practice the song, get ready to record the song. I haven't gotten the chance to record a song this week, but I've been figuring out the instrumentals. I've been writing the notes to the songs in alto clef since I play viola and am still learning how to read treble and bass clef, since those are the clefs used in piano, but the notes are still the same. I recently began learning one of my all time favorite songs by one of my all time favorite bands, "Hey Jude" by the Beatles. I already know the lyrics, but the instrumental is a little more difficult because there are a lot of changes between naturals and sharps.

Currently, I'm using manuscript paper, which is basically just paper with blank staffs (the 5 lines musical notes are written on) to write the notes in. I don't start with a key signature since I'm not sure what's going to be in the music in the beginning because I find it by ear. I almost always start writing notes to songs in 4/4 since that is what's most commonly used.

I plan to record a bunch of music this week, some with just the audio, and some on video. I've been keeping the files on a flash drive to be able to transfer them onto whatever I choose to use for my presentation.

20 Time

This week, I made my mother a birthday cake, and I had my first unsuccessful recipe.

Right now, I am working on finding a recipe for this weekend, and the next few weekends.

Next, I plan on making a few more creative recipes, and hopefully some cupcakes.

20 Time Update

I am very discouraged by my project. I just don't know how I can show this in a presentation. I wish I could change my project, but its to late. I will keep trying although I really have no ideas. I really am wondering how this is going to workout and if I can come up with a fascinating presentation.

So, I am doing what I can to be successful in what I am trying to do, but I honestly think that I won't be able to finish it in time but, I do know at least half of it which is the music part, but not the piano or instrumental part. My presentation will probably be based off what I can do to finish and what I did do so far.

My game is in a stagnant phase. It is fun and playable but it is becoming very difficult to get it online. Websites often cost money so I need to find one that doesn't. I could always try to use a chrome experiment but it is also difficult. Next, I will find a domain.

This week I am continuing to figure out what my game is going to be about.  Right now i am planning the design for my game. Next week I am going to continue to design my game.

20 Time

This week I haven't done any work on my actual presentation but I found some reliable sources for information to present to you all. I am going to begin to get my main points into the presentation, and hopefully by the next 2 weeks it can be finished so I can start memorizing it. 

This week I was able to ride from one side of the street to another and I was quite ecstatic when that happened. Right now I am working on furthering my skills in the actual task of riding a Ripstik as well as putting together my presentation. Next week I hope to continue to work on my presentation and be able to ride down the street with some speed.
