"Open Letter to 9th Graders"

     Patrick Sullivan's "Open Letter to 9th Graders'"purpose was to inform 9th-graders of the skills they will need in college.  Also, the author's main point is students who are unwilling to read, write, listen, and show "grit" , while maintaining a good attitude about college will fail.  We agreed with the author saying that students need to work hard and that is important to love . We disagreed with the author saying that incapable teachers and large classes were not major problems concerning unprepared students.
